As you move from the Melody A1 to the Melody A3, each hearing aid model provides a higher and stronger capability to rectify hearing losses.

The Melody A1 has two channels you can toggle through, depending on the environment you are in. Both the Melody A2 and the Melody A3 have 4 channels you can toggle through.
One Enhanced uni-directional microphone. Sounds are amplified qually around the head One Enhanced omni-directional microphone. Sounds are amplified 80% in the direction the head is facing, 10% to the side, and 10% behind. Two adaptive directional microphones. Sounds are amplified in the direction the head is facing with a stereo effect. Like the melody A2, sounds are amplified 80% in the direction the head is facing, 10% to the side, and 10% behind. Each microphone is better functioning as you move up through the models, with the Melody A3 having two adaptive directional microphones in each hearing aid.
Feedback Reduction. Phase Inverter Feedback Reduction. Phase Inverter Plus Quiet Start® Feedback Reduction. Phase Inverter Plus Quiet Start® Phase inverters cancel feedback whistling. Quiet start delays amplification for 10 seconds while the hearing aid is placed on the ear, to minimize whistling.
